We’re excited to celebrate Read Across America this week with fun daily themes! Students can participate by dressing according to the theme or wearing their regular uniform.
📌 This is not a dress-down event—students must follow the theme suggestions or stick to the uniform policy.

He stopped by to remind our students that tonight from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, Watson Elementary will receive a percentage of the proceeds from all sales. We encourage all our families to head to Chuck E. During a recent visit to Watson Elementary, LRSD Superintendent Dr. Jermall Wright observed 3rd-grade teacher Ronisha "Niki" Johnson delivering an exceptional math lesson. Dr. Wright described her instruction as "phenomenal," noting her thorough planning, use of academic language, and ability to engage students in meaningful math discussions. He praised her intentional strategies to support English Language Learners and students with disabilities, calling her lesson a model of excellence. Thank you, Ms. Johnson, for your dedication to student success!
LRSD achieves significant milestone based on latest ATLAS assessment results/cut scores. Div. of Elem&Sec. Ed at ADE announced that LRSD has surpassed the performance threshold outlined by the State & will no longer be required to participate in quarterly Act 1082 check-ins.
