Dear LRSD Staff,
Due to inclement weather and continued hazardous conditions on secondary bus route roads, all Little Rock School District schools will be closed on Friday, February 21. However, District offices will operate on a two-hour delay. Central Office employees should report to work if it is safe to do so. Those who live in areas still impacted by ice and unable to report to the office should contact their supervisors for further instructions.
We also want to inform you that schools will now be open on Monday, February 24. Originally scheduled as a Professional Development day for staff, this change was made to support student learning after multiple weather-related closures. Employees, please check with your principals regarding the rescheduled PD date. We appreciate your understanding as we adjust our schedule to prioritize academic progress.
Additionally, please make note of the following adjustments to upcoming District activities:
Black Male Educator Summit scheduled for Friday-Saturday, February 21-22, now rescheduled to March 14-15, 2025. Location TBA.
