Ribbon cutting held at Little Rock Central High School

The Little Rock School District, alongside architect Polk Stanley Wilcox and teams from Nabholz and Doyne construction firms, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, celebrating the completion of Little Rock Central High School’s new state-of-the-art field house. Held on the south end of the football field, the event drew an excited crowd of students, staff, elected officials, and community members.

Following the ceremony, attendees were given the opportunity to tour the impressive 58,000-square-foot facility, which will serve LRCH’s football, baseball, wrestling, cheer, and dance teams. The two-story field house features a 40-yard indoor practice field, along with modern weight and locker rooms for boys and girls.

This milestone marks another step forward in LRCH’s campus development. The field house is a key addition to the school's athletic program and will soon be complemented by a 67,000-square-foot, three-story science wing, set to open next year.

This exciting addition demonstrates the District’s continued commitment to enhancing facilities that support student growth and success, both academically and athletically.
