The highly anticipated Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Jazz Celebration, which honors exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to the world of jazz, will feature the induction of several esteemed educators from the Little Rock School District.
Among the current educators being honored are David Higginbotham, Dr. Irma "I.J." Routen, and Betty Sue Chandler Ward. These talented individuals have enriched their students' lives through music education and made lasting impacts on the jazz community through their passion and dedication.
In addition to the current educators, the ceremony will also pay tribute to inductees who have either graduated from or attended schools in the LRSD. They include Tom Cox, Benjamin Leon Pruitt Sr., and David Rosen.
