The Little Rock School District (LRSD) and the Little Rock Public Education Foundation are proud to congratulate the 2024 Academic Signing Day ASD) honorees, celebrating the highest level of academic excellence among LRSD seniors from all five high schools. The annual ASD event was held on May 20th and mirrors athletic signing days, honoring top-performing students as they commit to their chosen colleges and universities. Arvest is once again the Presenting Sponsor of this esteemed event. Joining the bank as a contributing sponsor is the Walker Wise Group.
Among the honorees are National Merit Finalists and Semifinalists, Commended Scholars, and students with the highest GPAs in their class. This year, LRSD is thrilled to recognize a record number of honorees—166 outstanding seniors, 40 more than last year. These exceptional students, who represent the future of fields such as engineering, journalism, neuroscience, medicine, nursing, research, and industrial design, have received significant academic awards and substantial scholarships.
While many of this year’s honorees have selected esteemed Arkansas colleges and universities, others have chosen to attend some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions, including Brown, Columbia University, Dartmouth, Purdue, Rhodes College, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, Vanderbilt, and Washington University in St. Louis, to name a few.
