LRSD congratulates the 2022 Parkview Patriots football team, winners of the 5A State Championship after a hard-fought 31-21 victory over Springdale's Shiloh Christian Academy, Saturday, December 3rd! While this was Shiloh's fourth consecutive trip to contend for the title, this was Parkview's  first championship appearance in nearly four decades. The team had an impressive showing in front of a crowd of nearly 8,000 at War Memorial Stadium.  The Patriots were led on the field by quarterback Eric McGehee, also named the game's MVP, completing 7 of 12 passes.  Here's even better news: McGehee is just a junior this year!  Can we say "repeat" next year?!  Also a huge win for Coach Brad Bolding  - his first state title as head coach of the Patriots.  Way to go, Coach Bolding, Patriots, and coaching staff!  Your LRSD family is proud of you.
