After completing an exciting and educational unit on "Mr. Ferris and His Wheel," the gifted and talented (GT) students from Watson Elementary showcased their creativity at the Arkansas State Fair's Creative Arts Competition—and the results are nothing short of spectacular!
The students immersed themselves in the world of the iconic Ferris wheel, exploring the mechanics, history, and creative possibilities inspired by the legendary invention. Their hard work paid off with multiple awards at the fair, proving their talents extend far beyond the classroom.
We were thrilled to visit the Art Building at the fair and discover that our students had won numerous ribbons! Let's give a big round of applause to these young artists and creators:

These outstanding achievements reflect the students' creativity, dedication, enthusiasm throughout the unit, competition, and personal growth. They gained a deeper understanding of the Ferris wheel and its historical place and found their artistic voices in various media.
