Good Morning Parkview Family, Due to inclement weather, all after-school activities scheduled for today have been canceled. CLASSES WILL DISMISS AT 2:30 PM We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates if anything should change. Please note that if tornado sirens are activated during these dismissal times, we will initiate our shelter-in-place procedures, and building doors will be locked until the threat has passed. Please ensure your student has arrangements to go home at dismissal. Thank you for your trust, understanding, and support. Parkview Administration
Due to the threat of severe weather moving into our area, LRSD will dismiss school early today, all after-school activities are cancelled, and CARE will be closed. Elementary sites will dismiss at 1:30 p.m., followed by secondary schools at 2:30 p.m. This decision was made in the best interest of students and staff, in consultation with the National Weather Service, LRSD’s Emergency Management and Transportation teams, and surrounding districts. Please note that if tornado sirens are activated during these dismissal times, we will initiate our shelter-in-place procedures, and building doors will be locked until the threat has passed. Thank you for your understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Please stay safe.

Therefore, we are asking that you make note of the following information below before signing off on your child’s course selection sheet. Course Selection Requirements: All students must select 8 total classes Students must choose 3 elective options in order of preference Students need to be enrolled in at least one of their magnet area courses based on their area of focus at Parkview. (Science, Drama, Visual Arts, Band, Orchestra, Choir, Dance) AP course selections require a commitment to a rigorous workload ( If you select AP courses, please make sure that your child is committed to the work requirements) Our Master Schedule will be built based on student course selections. Changes later may not be possible due to staffing allocations. Please take this opportunity to review and confirm your child’s selections now to ensure the best possible schedule for next year.
