Little Rock School District 50th Annual College Night

The Little Rock School District is excited to celebrate a remarkable milestone with its 50th Annual College Night on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jack Stephens Center - UALR. Open to the public, this event has become a cornerstone for students and families navigating the journey to higher education. Over 50 colleges, universities, and military branches will be present, offering invaluable opportunities for students to explore a wide range of post-secondary options.

In addition to connecting with college representatives, attendees will also have the chance to meet alumni who can share their experiences and insights. At 6:30 PM, UALR will lead a financial aid presentation, providing important information and resources for students and families looking to understand funding options for college.

This 50th-anniversary event is a great time to reflect on what happened when the first College Night was held in 1974. That year, Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth’s all-time home run record, Stephen King published his first novel, “Carrie,” and Elton John’s Greatest Hits topped the charts. It was also the year Little League Baseball made history by allowing girls to play. Like those landmark moments, College Night has played a transformative role in the lives of many students, helping them take the next step toward their futures.

Attendees are encouraged to register in advance at www.StriveFair.com to receive a barcode, which colleges will scan during the event to send more information. After the event, participants will receive a personalized report detailing the colleges they interacted with.

As we celebrate 50 years of College Night, the Little Rock School District remains committed to providing students and their families with the guidance and resources needed to succeed in their educational journeys. We invite the public to join us for this special event and be part of a tradition that has empowered generations of students for half a century.
