Dear LRSD Families:
We know that many of you may still be dealing with the after effects of Friday’s storm. We want you to know that #LRSDCares and we are here for our community. In difficult times, our students need us more than ever to provide a safe place and a sense of normalcy. That is why after careful consultation with administrative staff, first responders, emergency management partners, utility companies, and other District stakeholders, we have made a decision to open schools tomorrow.
We anticipate that buses may be delayed in some areas as a result of the storm, and want to work together to support our students and staff. If it is more convenient for you to drop off and pick up your students, please feel free to do so. LRSD staff is mindful of these challenges and will continue to work with our parents as need arises.
In order to better serve you, we have created a webpage with information about available resources: www.lrsd.org/LRSDCares. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your student’s principal. Your LRSD family cares and we will get through these tough times together.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jermall Wright
Superintendent of Schools
