Central High wrestling hit a new record high of 15 state placers in one year. Congratulations to these wrestlers.
The wrestling team competed at the state tournament this past weekend (Feb. 24).
The girls finished state runner ups with the following all state:
Laila Jordan- finalist
Layne Hattenhauer- finalist
Tytiana Holloway- finalist, 2x all state
Lillie Parker
Aaniyah Clark
Alex Prock
Melissa Hutchinson- 3x all state
Tonka Taylor- 3x all state, 2x state champion
The boys finished 5th in the state with the following all state honors:
Marrion Jones
Aamir Reed
Davarise Daniels- finalist, 2x all state
Evan McKinnis
Porshawn Riley
Marcus Johnson
Max Mobly- state champion and voted outstanding wrestler
