Salary
The Little Rock School District's salary schedule applies to all full-time classroom teachers. The salary schedule is based on the education and experience of each teacher.
Salary ScheduleThe salary schedule represents the salary policy of the Board of Education.
Teachers may, on the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools and with the approval of the Board of Education, be granted salary stipends on the basis of extra responsibilities. Teachers are appointed by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools. A teacher accepting a contract agrees to accept the assignment of the Superintendent.
A menu item to the teacher pay scale is provided and includes salary ranges for certified and other personnel.

Fringe benefits
The LRSD participates in retirement programs for teachers and other school employees as provided by Arkansas statutes.
Full-time staff members are provided group medical and dental insurance benefits as well as long-term disability and life insurance.
A flexible benefits program designed to allow employees' participation on a voluntary basis is available in the following areas:

Credit union membership-optional
At the beginning of each school year, all teachers are credited with sick leave ranging from 10 to 12 days, depending on the length of the contract. Sick leave benefits are cumulative to 175 days.
