Western Hills

Western Hills

Western Hills Elementary opened in 1966 and is situated on 14 wooded acres. It underwent renovations and additions in 1991, including 14 new classrooms and a new media center. The school received a new computer lab in 2004. It was named for the residential subdivision in which it is located.

Western Hills has been host to the preliminary rounds of the LRSD Quiz Bowl academic competition since 1996. Students at this school are involved in community outreach projects involving the Arkansas Rice Depot, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Clinton Presidential Library and the USS Enterprise. Teachers, students and parents work enthusiastically to achieve academic and athletic excellence.
