The Little Rock School District (LRSD) celebrated its Class of 2024 graduation ceremonies Thursday-Friday, May 23-24, 2024, honoring the achievements of over 1,300 seniors from its five high schools. The ceremonies, marked by joy, pride, and reflection, highlighted the District's commitment to academic excellence and community support.

This year's graduates have much to celebrate, having collectively earned nearly $26 million in scholarships. These scholarships, awarded for academic, athletic, and artistic achievements, will support students in their pursuits of higher education at colleges and universities across the country, among other future endeavors. In this class of graduates are a U.S. Presidential Scholar, National Merit Finalists and Semifinalists, Commended Scholars, debate, science, and writing award-winners, and championship athletes.

Superintendent Dr. Jermall Wright expressed his pride in the students' accomplishments and admonished them with these remarks, “Graduates, as you step into your future, carry with you the lessons learned and the love received from those who have stood by you and with you. Class of 2024, your journey is just beginning, and the possibilities are endless. We, along with the world, are not just eager to see the change you will bring, but we are excited to witness the transformation you will ignite.” He also added, “We use the phrase that we are “reimagining LRSD” - we are counting on you to play your part in reimagining the future and making our world a better place for all! “

The ceremonies featured inspiring speeches from valedictorians, salutatorians, and other student leaders who encouraged their peers to embrace their futures with confidence and purpose. Parents, teachers, and community members filled the audience, cheering on the graduates as they walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.

As the graduates embark on their next chapter, the Little Rock School District stands proud, knowing it has provided them with a strong academic foundation and the skills and values needed to succeed. Congratulations to the Class of 2024 for their outstanding achievements and best wishes for continued success.
