Stephanie has been with the district since February 2010.  She began working towards these certifications some time ago while involved in international acquisition with a previous employer. Nurse Patricia Brown of the Little Rock School District was among the top three semifinalists for the statewide 5th Annual Nursing Compassion Award. Nurse Brown has been employed with the district since 1996 and is the nurse at Hamilton Learning Academy and Felder Alternative Academy.

“When you think of compassion, you think of Patricia,” said Margo Bushmaier, Coordinator of LRSD Health Services.  Nurse Brown has done missionary work in Haiti twice this school year to aid the country's children. Her fellow Little Rock School District colleagues and nurses also describe her as caring, kind-hearted and humble. Nurse Brown’s kind-hearted character, which is seen through her nursing practice with her students, makes her an ideal nominee for such an award.  Congratulations Nurse Patricia Brown!
