ASU Partnership with Horace Mann Gives Future Scientists a Head Start

In a first-ever opportunity for middle school attendees, students at Horace Mann Magnet Middle School will partner with Arkansas State University (ASU) to collect data for plant and gas research projects, sending the data to ASU for further analysis.  ASU will interpret and discuss the data with Mann students, encouraging further study and experimentation.

Administration and teachers at Horace Mann believe this partnership will enhance curriculum and better prepare students interested in science and math, and will help improve ACT scores.

State Representative Charles Blake was on hand for the announcement and presented a ceremonial award check to Horace Mann which will be used, in part, to help support this initiative.
